I'll spare the details, but at 11 PM today my dog died from old age at the age of 16. He had no disease at all, and was always healthy. He died when everyone from my family except my oldest sister was there, and he died somewhat peacefully. He passed away calmly but slow. My dog was always there since before I was even born, and I miss him. It's so quiet in the house now. My dog was joked about to be immortal, since he outlived all of his friends. He was kind and sociable, and loved new people and old. during his last few weeks, his hearing became gradually worse and he became nearly blind. He was falling over on nothing and sleeping more recently, eating less as well. He stopped eating entirely today. I cried for over half an hour. We're hosting his funeral between tomorrow and monday. I can only hope that he's in a better place now. When he passed, my mother called her friends to inform them and they rushed over right away. After they left, she confronted me about my fresh self-harm scars which were visible due to my sloppy work from my intense emotions. Now everyone in my family knows about my scars, my suicidal ideation, and my transfeminism. - 1:52 AM, Sunday, 5/17/26.
